
Kevin Whorton of Whorton Research presented the results of 2022 LHCC Member Survey. You can

The Board approved the following:
• Purchase a John Deere 5055E tractor with backhoe with a cost NTE $50K with Undesignated
funds using the smaller and limited 2017 Kubota (MX5200) as a trade in.
• Hire Smeltzer’s Tree Service to cut back vegetation up to 10’ out and 20-25’ high, along paved
roadways over the next 12 months for a cost NTE $50K. Smeltzer’s will provide traffic control,
documented worker’s compensation, and liability coverage of $1M.
• Approved the 2023 Budget (with no increase in membership dues!)
• Hire Wilson (painting services) to paint the second tennis court with pickleball lines.
• Establish a Forest Management Task Group with representatives from Master Planning,
BGS&A, and Lake Committee members. (Anyone interested in joining can contact Cathy
Melcher through the Office.)
• Changes to PRP #16, Elections and Voting, Sections C and D; re: candidates must be aware of
the Board of Director’s Code of Conduct and Goldberg’s Rules of Order, and sign a statement to
that effect.
• Revisions to Resolution 2013-05, Code of Conduct, among other things, adding Committee
Chairs are also required to follow those rules.
Item of note: After research and evaluation, BGS&A Committee (led by Tammy Bollman) recommend purchase of playground equipment from BYO Recreational, Inc for Beach 1 ($51,107 Replacement Reserves); and Country Club Park (CCP – $58,471 CIP funds) with approved funds.
