Food Trucks

Food trucks were a success in Lake Holiday during the years 2020-2021 due to Covid restrictions preventing restaurant service.  Sadly, some food trucks did not survive the inability to serve at festivals and large events during this same time. Large events are a significant source of revenue for food trucks.

In 2022, we had 27 different food trucks visit Lake Holiday over the course of 31 weekends. As the year progressed, gas and food prices increased exponentially. This required food trucks to raise their minimum order requirement so they could avoid losing money.

Increased prices coupled with residents’ ability to travel to restaurants for indoor seating once again, meant that most food trucks did not get close to the minimum during their visits here. Most lost money.

Of 43 food trucks contacted (from previous years and new trucks), only 3 are willing to return, all on holidays. The dates we have scheduled are as follows:

Monday May 29th – Memorial Day – VENDOR CANCELLED

Monday July 3rd – Lake Holiday Fireworks

Monday September 4th – Labor Day

If you know of a food truck willing to travel to Lake Holiday, please have them contact judy@lakeholidaycc.org.
