THE FIREWISE PROGRAM: Firewise USA is a program sponsored by a consortium of national agencies designed to minimize the danger of wildfire to communities in forested areas.
Lake Holiday has begun the process of affiliation, but an app is available to assist residents prepare their homes to minimize the threat and can be found here: http://readydl.com/landing/wildfire/index.html
The app is loaded with information and easy to navigate via smartphone of tablet. In addition to avoidance measures, there are tips for recovery after wildfire and resources about wildfires in our region.
More information will be available during our Memorial Day Celebration at the Clubhouse. Look for the Security and Safety Committee table. Firewise is a community effort!
