Recreational Areas

Sports Field: The sports field, near the front entrance to the community, is bordered along one side by the boat storage area. Planning is underway to potentially relocate the sports field to a location along County Club Drive where a Community Hub is currently planned.  In the meantime, the current location along Colonial Drive remains active and useful to baseball, softball, soccer and all manner of other sporting activities.

Basketball and Tennis Courts: Located adjacent the Clubhouse, the tennis and basketball courts continue to be well maintained and receive regular use by residents and guests. Both the tennis courts  and basketball court were resurfaced in 2016 and are in excellent condition.

Volleyball Courts: Two volleyball courts are located in Lake Holiday.  One is adjacent to The Clubhouse at Beach I and during the warm-weather season people are jumping, bumping, setting and spiking all weekend long.  The other is located at Beach II and also sees its fair share of use.  Both courts also have incredible views of the lake and beaches!

Children’s Playgrounds: Two playgrounds are available in Lake Holiday.  The original site is located at the clubhouse, and recently a newly constructed area located at Beach II.  The former playground is designed as a “tot lot” containing a single unit with slides and an elevated multi-leveled jungle gym.  The latter is recently added as a result of community interest expressed in our last survey and financial support of the Board of Directors this year.  The new Beach II playground contains four swings and a slide and can be expanded upon in the future.

Nature Trails:  Six original nature trails are found in Lake Holiday with more hiking and biking trails on the way.  A map of these trails is available in the office and on the page below.  New trail head signs are added in 2018 to assist hikers.  With the addition of 500 acres of common area on the south side of the community, more trails and/or nature park may be considered for addition to the amenities at Lake Holiday Country Club.
